
Following the successful pilot of Project Sarathi, a second batch of NSS volunteers from PGGC, Sector 11 has joined PGIMER to manage patient rush.

Prof. Vivek Lal, Director of PGIMER, lauded the volunteers, stating, “NSS volunteers have significantly improved our patient management process. Their dedication has eased the burden on medical staff and provided invaluable support to patients and their families.” He emphasized the positive impact of this community-hospital collaboration on healthcare delivery.
The pilot project's success, with volunteers efficiently managing patient flow, set the stage for this expanded effort. Volunteers assist with patient registration, guide them to various departments, and provide essential information, ensuring a smoother and more organized experience.

He praised the fresh perspective and energy the NSS volunteers bring, which has greatly benefited operations. Interest in Project Sarathi is growing, with NGOs like Manav Ruhani Satsang joining. Rai appealed for more NGOs, senior citizens, and other volunteers to participate, highlighting their potential to improve patient care and reduce the burden on medical staff.
