Una district administration launches special campaign to awaken voter awareness

Voting message being given through songs, music and street plays

Una, 1 April:- Under the SVEEP programs in Una district, multi-level voter awareness activities are being organized with the coordination of entertainment and public education. For this purpose, a special awareness campaign has been started in the district from April 1st. In this, the focus will be on creating voter awareness through songs, music and street plays.

Programs held at Una bus stand and Mehatpur

On the first day of the campaign, on 1st April, programs were organized at Una Bus Stand and Mehatpur Taxi Stand. In these, the artists of the theater groups made people aware about the importance of voting and the use of franchise with messages like whether old or young, they must vote on 1st June, do their duty towards the country by voting, and first vote then have refreshments.
He also informed that the youth who are turning 18 years of age or above on April 1, 2024, but due to some reason have not been able to vote till now, should definitely get their vote done. They should get their names registered in the voter list by May 4.
During these programs, Election Kanungo Harjeet Singh, Sweep Nodal Officer of Una sub-division Suresh Kumar Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Rampal and Kamal Dev, President of Taxi Union Mehatpur Amrik Singh, Union Secretary Bablu Joshi, Ajaib Singh (spokesperson) and Mr. Hardeep Singh ( MC, Ward No. 8) along with other dignitaries and local people and travelers were present.

Under the special voter awareness campaign in Una district, 
street plays were organized at Haroli Bus Stand and Panjawar Bus Stand on 8th April, 
Badhuhi and Amb Bus Stand on 19th April, 
Bangana and Thanakalan Bus Stand on 22nd April and 
Gagret and Deoli Bus Stand on 30th April. Voters will be made aware through this medium.

District Election Officer DC Janit Lal said that with the aim of 100 percent voting in the district, continuous programs are being organized for voter awareness under the SVEEP. For wide publicity, songs, concerts and street plays are also being organized. Our effort is to ensure full public participation in this election festival.
