Deputy Commissioner inquires about the well being of the injured of Madi accident

Una, 25 March:- Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal reached Una Regional Hospital to inquire about the well-being of the injured in the Maidi accident. He met the injured and inquired about their health and instructed the hospital management to take proper care of all the injured.

As immediate relief, the administration gave Rs 25,000 each to the families of the deceased and Rs 10,000 each to the injured.

Let us tell you that at 5.30 am on Monday morning (25th March), 2 people died tragically while 7 others were injured in an accident due to debris falling from the hill during the holy bath in Charan Ganga at Madi Fair. Three seriously injured people were referred to Una Regional Hospital and others are undergoing treatment at Amb Hospital. The Deputy Commissioner said that financial assistance of Rs 25,000 each has been provided to the deceased and Rs 10,000 each to the injured in the accident.
The deceased in the accident have been identified as Billa son of Kewal Singh, resident of Rodikapur district Faridkot and Balbir Chand son of Batna Ram resident of Faridpur district Jalandhar.
Apart from this, according to the information received from the hospital Una, Raghubir Singh, son of Billu Singh, resident of Rodi Kapura, district Faridkot, age 30, has been referred to PGI. Whereas Balveer Singh, son of Bala Ram, resident of Nidana post office Khed, district Jind Haryana and Sadhuram, son of Ramkumar, resident of village and post office Pali tehsil Julana, district Jind Haryana, are undergoing treatment in Civil Hospital Una.
According to the information received from the hospital, the injured are Govind son of Dev Raj resident of Barnala, Dharmendra Singh son of Jaspal Singh resident of Sol district Tarn Taran, Harpal Singh son of Sher Singh resident of Amritsar, Bablu son of Lali resident of Pind Brar Amritsar and Angrez Singh son of Mangal Singh resident of Bharad Tehsil Ajnala. District Amritsar is undergoing treatment at Amb Hospital.
SDM Amb Vivek Mahajan said that the landslide site has been restricted and separate arrangements have been made for bathing facilities for the devotees.
