March 18, 2024 Nawanshahr - Under the direction of District Election Officer Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar ji and as per the instructions of Dr. Aksita Gupta IAS Sub Divisional Magistrate Nawanshahr ji under the sweep activity near Dak Ghar Seva Kendra and nearby Deputy Group Education and Information Officer at Nawanshahr. Awareness was given by Tarsem Lal Sweep Nodal Officer, Pardeep Singh, Surinder Kumar.
The nodal officer of the sweep activity, Tarsem Lal, gave information in this regard. The young generation was given information about the importance of voting under the sweep activity.
He said that the new voters must use their vote honestly without any greed after making their vote. Tarsem Lal said that all voters should be strong, alert; Safe and aware. He said that for any information one can call toll free number 1950 for free.
He said that verify your vote with your own eyes. Voter Verification Paper Audit Trail (vvpat) is a machine attached to the electronic voting machine through which the voter can be verified. Through this machine, the voter can see the serial number, name and mark of the candidate for about 7 seconds. They have voted for

(2) Verify – Check the slip printed on the VVPAT.
(3) Make sure that you have voted for the candidate of your choice.
