The annual college fair of Sikh National College Banga was memorable

Nawanshahr - Annual College Mela was successfully organized at Sikh National College Banga with the support of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder and group of teaching and non-teaching staff. The fair was inaugurated by DSP Daljit Singh Khak as the chief guest.

On this occasion, Surinder Singh Kandola, Gurjit Singh Kandola, Harminder Singh Atwal, Parminder Singh, Gurinderjit Singh, Dr. Sohan Singh Parmar, Prof. Pragan Singh and Jarnail Singh Pallijhikki also joined him as special guests. Welcoming the guests, Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder said that this fair was organized to give leisure to the students from their daily activities and master the administrative tasks. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Daljit Singh Khakh DSP said that the students were inspired to be proud of their language and culture. Renowned lyricist Samsher Sandhu attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Especially eminent expatriate writer S Ashok Bhaura and lyricist Jasveer Gunachuria also joined him in this event. Speaking, Samsher Sandhu appreciated the civilized atmosphere of the college. On this occasion, a lucky draw was also conducted in which around 60 prizes were distributed. The first prize was given to LED TV Vishali Saroe, the second prize was given to Harvinder Thind, the juicer machine and the third prize was given to Ajay Mann. Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur and Prof. Gurpreet Singh moderated the event. During this occasion, budding singers Shahid Ali, Nav Sidhu, Inder Kaur, Parbhasimran and Mubarak Ali of the college's music department entertained the audience with their singing. The heads of various departments of the college along with the students also set up stalls of various souvenirs. In which there were various games like tambola, selfie and dance corner etc. The folk art exhibition of antiquities organized by the Punjabi department was the center of attraction. The guests who came were honored by presenting symbolic green plants and they were thanked by Prof. Indu Rathi. On this occasion Prof Abid Waqar, Prof Harjot Singh, Prof Amrit Kaur, Prof Sunidhi Miglani, Prof Rajesh Verma, Prof Sona Bansal, Dr Kamaldeep Kaur, Prof Tavinder Kaur, Dr Navneet Kaur, Manmant Singh Librarian, Paramjit Singh Superintendent, Prof Charanjit Kumar, Prof Dil Niwaj Prof Tejinder Singh along with all the staff and a large number of students were present.
