
Augmention of its Ayushman Arogya Mandirs by setting up 10 new dental units at the existing facilities
Chandigarh 2nd March, 2024:- To bring affordable and quality health care facilities at the doorsteps of the common citizens, the Health Department, UT Chandigarh, under the able guidance of Shri Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator, has augmented its existing Ayushman Arogya Mandirs by setting up 10 new dental units at the existing facilities.
Chandigarh 2nd March, 2024:- To bring affordable and quality health care facilities at the doorsteps of the common citizens, the Health Department, UT Chandigarh, under the able guidance of Shri Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator, has augmented its existing Ayushman Arogya Mandirs by setting up 10 new dental units at the existing facilities.
In this regard, a new dental unit was inaugurated at Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Sector 33, Chandigarh on 2nd March, 2024 by Shri Ajay Chagti, Secretary Health, UT Chandigarh in the presence of Dr. Suman Singh, Director, Health Services, UT Chandigarh, Dr Sushil Kumar Mahi, Medical Superintendent, GMSH-16, Dr. Parmjit Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Charru Singla, Nodal Officer, National Health Mission and Dr. Davinder Kumar, Head of Dental Department, GMSH-16.
The new dental units have been opened at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Sector-33, Sector-35, Sector-42, Sector-40, Sector-26, Modern Housing Complex-Manimajra, Kajheri, Dhanas, Ramdarbar and CITCO, Industrial Area Phase I. These new dental units will cater to the dental treatment needs of the population of Chandigarh.
The Secretary Health said that the patients will no longer have to travel to tertiary care centres for these facilities and this will also reduce their out of pocket expenses. Dr Suman Singh added that all routine dental procedures like dental fillings, Root Canal Treatment, Extractions, Dental X-rays and Oral prophylaxis treatment will be available in these centres.
