
A grand welcome at Hoshiarpur for the tableaux portraying the history and heritage of Punjab
Hoshiarpur - On reaching Hoshiarpur today, Jhakis representing the 'important contribution of Punjabis in the country's freedom struggle', 'women's power' and 'the rich cultural heritage of Punjab' were garlanded at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa. The residents of Hoshiarpur received a grand welcome with the rain. On this occasion, the children of Ghanta Ghar School added to the atmosphere with the melodious tunes of the band.

In these tableaus specially prepared by the Punjab government, the Jalihanwale Bagh incident, Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, Shaheed Udham Singh, Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Hardyal, The sacrifice of great personalities like Sardar Ajit Singh, Baba Kharak Singh, Madan Lal Dhingra, Dr Diwan Singh Kalepani and the incident of Kamagatamaru are shown. Similarly, through the second tableau women empowerment (My Bhagho Di Suramgati) and My Bhagho Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls are highlighted in various fields. Similarly, a glimpse of the rich heritage and culture of Punjab has been presented through the third tableau.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann brought these tableaux showing the proud history and heritage of Punjab to the attention of the people of Punjab. This initiative is highly commendable. He said that the history and culture of Punjab is unique And no one can underestimate that. He appreciated the efforts made by the Punjab government to show the people of Punjab these wonderful tableaus prepared for the National Republic Day, which were not allowed to be displayed there. He said that the great history and rich culture being depicted through these tableaux will be beneficial to connect the younger generation with their roots. On this occasion, a large number of people took pictures and selfies with the tableaus and made a part of their eternal memory.
