Una, February 2 - 2016 batch IAS officer Jatin Lal took charge as Deputy Commissioner Una on Friday. Earlier, Jatin Lal was working as Managing Director in Skill Development Corporation, Shimla.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that it is his priority to implement the public welfare schemes, policies and programs of the state government in a transparent manner. He said that the district is known for Una Industry, so his main objective will be to promote as many industries as possible so that the youth here can get employment opportunities. Along with this, infrastructure should also be developed in the district so that the projects of the district can be completed in time and the youth can get employment opportunities.
Jatin Lal said that his main focus will be to keep the youth away from drugs and promote sports, various competitions and the culture of the district so that the youth can keep themselves fit through sports. Apart from this, his aim is to encourage the children of the district as much as possible for JEE and UPS competitive examinations so that they can get a good platform and bring glory to the district, state and country. He said that the children of the district will be made aware of nutrition and have adequate balanced diet, improvement in sex ratio and women empowerment will also be promoted.
Apart from this, Jatin Lal said that the main goal will be to provide the best facilities to the devotees at the famous Shaktipeeth Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple of North India in Una district and to develop the temple trust as a religious tourism destination.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that I will always work as a public servant for the people of Una district and will be ready to serve the people of the district 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
