SAS Nagar, January 23 - In today's meeting of the Finance and Contracts Committee of the Municipal Corporation, a total of Rs 52 crore works including Rs 40 crore mechanical cleaning of city roads have been approved. Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Sidhu said that the work of mechanical cleaning of the city's roads will be started during the next three months.

He said that along with this, installation of flood lights in the park of Phase-11, engineering work in the industrial area of Phase-8, ensuring labor for electric cremation machine, installation of new tube well including pumping machine in MC store has been sanctioned. . Along with this, construction of shelter home, Dharamshala in Mataur, equipment for fire station, repair of manholes and streets in Kumbhara, installation and renovation of street lights in Phase-11 and other such works have been sanctioned.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Navjot Kaur, Joint Commissioner Kiran Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal, councilors and senior officials were present in the meeting.
