MLA Kulwant Singh while sending off the bus of pilgrims from Sri Shiv Shakti Temple located in Sector-66 Mohali said that pilgrims travel to pilgrimage places in large numbers and pray for peace of mind and the betterment of their surroundings. He said that the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme will continue in the future as well. He said that a large number of pilgrims are going on a pilgrimage to religious places daily due to the successful running of the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme in the state.

He said that it is characteristic of the residents of Sector-66 that here Hindus and Sikhs celebrate the events of both religions together with full pomp. On this occasion, he also distributed kits of necessary goods to the devotees of the bus going on the journey to Khatu Sham and Balasar Dham.

On this occasion, in response to a question regarding the election of the mayor of Chandigarh, he said that whenever a party feels its defeat, it takes such actions as the BJP is doing. He said that in the democratic system every voter has full right to exercise his right to vote and the Mayor of Chandigarh Corporation will be from Aam Aadmi Party in any case.
