
Quarterly review meeting of public distribution system held
Una, January 10 - 1,47,892 ration card holders of the district are being benefited through 310 fair price shops under the Public Distribution System. This information was given by ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar while presiding over the quarterly review meeting of the public distribution system. He said that there are total 1,47,892 ration card holders and 5,81,598 population in Una district. Which includes 87,028 consumers of APL category, 19,393 of BPL, 10,299 of Antyodaya Anna Yojana and 31,172 consumers of primary households.

He said that there are total 1,47,892 ration card holders and 5,81,598 population in Una district. He informed that 99.99 percent of Aadhaar seeding work has been completed in the district while 96.32 percent of mobile seeding work has been completed. Apart from this, he called upon all the consumers to get their eKYC done at the respective/nearest fair price shop. He said that consumers can get eKYC done by January 31 by visiting their nearest fair price shop.
ADC said that through 309 fair price shops in the district, a total of 53,563 quintals of flour, 31,136 quintals of rice, 7,672 quintals of pulses, 1,138 quintals of salt, 8,423 quintals of sugar and 5,75,986 liters of edible oil will be sold from September, 2023 to November, 2023. Has been distributed. Apart from this, a total of 11 thousand 81 gas connections have been distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
He said that from September 2023 to November 2023, 687 inspections were conducted by the Food Supply Department and during this period, when various irregularities were found, action was taken on 25 cases and a fine of Rs 37 thousand was imposed. Apart from this, 23 shopkeepers and traders were fined Rs 21 thousand for using polythene. He said that 17 fair price shop owners were also inspected during a special inspection campaign in the market in which 12 gas cylinders were seized and action was taken as per rules and a fine of Rs 15,000 was collected.
He said that in order to provide quality food grains to the consumers, a total of 48 samples were taken from the month of September, 2023 to November, 2023, out of which reports of 48 samples have been received. In the report received, 48 samples have been found to be fine.
On this occasion, District Council President Neelam Kumari, District Controller Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Una Rajeev Sharma, Manager FCI Rajendra Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mohit Dhiman were present.
