Nawanshahr - District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa held a meeting of Under Trial Review Committee and Juvenile Justice Board under the guidelines received from Punjab Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar.
CJM-cum-Secretary Kamaldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Judge Juvenile Justice Board Madam Compal Dhanjal, DSP Lakhveer Singh, Assistant Commissioner (c) Dr Gurleen Kaur and Chairman Child Welfare Committee Madam Sonia, DCPO Madam Kanchan were present in this meeting. During this meeting, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa said that on March 9, 2024, a national Lok Adalat will be set up in the district to settle the cases that are amenable to resignation at the judicial and pre-litigative stage. Apart from this, the DSP was instructed to make aware about the free legal aid to the arrested person at the pre-arrest stage. Apart from this, it was asked about the admission of Adamapta report, cancellation case in this National People's Court And the padding tafink challan should be sent to Lok Adalat.
