Nawanshahr - Under the direction of District Election Officer Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar ji and as per the instructions of Dr. Aksita Gupta IAS Sub Divisional Magistrate Nawanshahr ji, during the sweep activities and related to EVM, laborer Veera at Dussehra ground Nawanshahr was informed by Tarsem Lal Sweep Nodal Officer.
Deputy Group Education and Information Officer and Nodal Officer of Sweep Activities, Tarsem Lal, gave information in this regard. The youth generation was informed about the importance of voting under Sweep Activities. He said that after casting their vote, the new voters should use their vote honestly without any greed.
He said that all voters should be strong, alert, safe and aware. He said that for any information one can call toll free number 1950 for free. He gave information about EVM and VV PET.
He gave information about the electronic voting machine, including the ballot unit, VVPAT, control unit. He said to verify your vote with your eyes. There is a machine, through which the voters can verify the voter. Through this machine, the voters can see the serial number, name and election symbol of the candidate for whom they have voted for about 7 seconds.
He informed Veera and Bhaina who came to the service center and said
(1) Vote – Press the blue button on the ballot unit of the EVM.
(2) Verify – Check the slip printed on the VVPAT.
(3) Ensure that you have voted for the candidate of your choice.
