Una, January 3 - A one-day training workshop for Sector Magistrate and Police Magistrate officers was organized in DRDA Hall on Wednesday as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to conduct the voting process in a free, fair and smooth manner in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections - 2024. Was organized. The one-day training workshop was presided over by ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar. ADC said that Sector Magistrate and Police Magistrate play an important role in making the voting process free and fair. All officers should take their duty seriously. He instructed all the officials to do physical verification of the polling stations. He said that the officers should visit all the polling stations and prepare a detailed report on them on the prescribed form.
He said that the availability of all types of basic facilities in the polling centers should also be inspected so that the deficiencies can be filled within the stipulated time. He also directed to inspect the sensitive polling stations and share their information so that all necessary arrangements can be made for them. Apart from this, instructions were also given to maintain necessary coordination with booth level officers.
He said that officers play an important role in various processes related to the responsibilities of polling station arrangements. He told the officials to keep the mobile numbers of two-three people at every booth so that they can be contacted for any kind of information. He said that the training workshop will be very important for the officers. In the workshop, all the doubts related to the election of officers are cleared.
In the workshop, Tehsildar Election Suman Kapoor gave detailed information to the officials about the election process and their duties and responsibilities and also distributed a special hand book prepared by the Election Commission.
