Hoshiarpur - Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that with the end of the transporters' strike, oil supply is going to be restored in all 240 petrol pumps of the district. He said that he has also spoken to the President of the Petrol Pump Association in this regard and he has also confirmed the end of the strike.
The Deputy Commissioner said that with the petrol pumps of the district and private tankers going to Jalandhar to fill petrol and diesel, petrol and diesel will be available in all the petrol pumps by Tuesday night. He appealed to the residents of the district not to panic as the strike has ended and there is no shortage of oil in the district. He said that they should not put up lines outside petrol pumps and gas stations because putting up lines in this way leads to traffic jams and causes unnecessary panic where people face commuting problems.
Komal Mittal said that there will be uninterrupted supply of petrol and diesel at petrol pumps from Tuesday night. He said that the residents of the district should exercise restraint and remain calm as the district administration is committed and ready to deal with any situation. He also appealed to the owners of petrol pumps and gas stations not to do any kind of stocking and to continue the supply smoothly.
