Patiala, January 1 - The police have arrested three drivers of tippers for doing illegal mining in daylight and seized three tippers and a Poklen machine. Illegal mining was being done on government land near Deer Park, a short distance from here.
On receiving the complaint, when the team of Dakala police post raided, these drivers had filled a tipper. On the statement of the mining officer, the police have registered a case against Inderjit Singh of Daulatpur (Patiala), Arshdeep Singh (of a village near Bhadson) and Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of a village in Una (Himachal Pradesh). Gurvinder Singh, in-charge of Dhakala police post, has said that a thorough investigation will be conducted during police remand.
