Patiala, January 1 - The first day of the new year was celebrated with new born babies at Community Health Center Tripri. Civil surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur participated in this program under the supervision of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Sanjiv Kumar from the District Health Department and blessed the children born in the community health center and also distributed blankets and sweets to them.

The Civil Surgeon congratulated the parents of the children on the birth of the children and also wished them long life and good health. He said that the children should be kept in warm clothes that cover the whole body to protect them from the harsh winter. He asked the parents to give only mother's milk for six months to keep the children healthy and from six months. After that, open diet should be started for children. They asked the parents to nurture their children properly and ensure that they get regular vaccinations as per the vaccination schedule to prevent diseases, which are administered free of charge in government hospitals. He said that children are the core of our society and a healthy society can be established only if the children are healthy.
