Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that many farmers of the district who are benefiting from this scheme are not getting payment due to lack of EKYC and land seeding.

To remove these errors, special camps are being organized in their villages by the Agriculture Department for the convenience of the farmers. He appealed to the farmers to participate in these camps and take maximum benefit of this scheme. He said that the department has organized such camps in 31 villages of the district during the month of December And 368 farmers have benefited from this scheme by attending on the occasion. Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Dapinder Singh said that for the convenience of farmers, special camps are being organized by the Department of Agriculture under this scheme on 2nd January 2024 at villages Kharkuval, Julah Majra and Mirpur Lakha of block Aur. On January 3, camps are being set up at Saloh, Bairsian, Punu Majara, Hiala and Jafarpur villages of Nawanshahr block and on the same day at Maujewal, Bhannu, Majara and Kharod villages of Saroa block. Apart from this, a special camp has been drawn up on January 4 at Jhandir Kalan, Jhandir Khurd, Lalpur and Bisla villages of Block Banga and on January 5 at Bir Kathgarh, Nanowal Bet, Jagatpur and Thopia villages of Block Balachore. He said that the farmers whose installments have been stopped, they can get KYC and land seeding by attending these camps along with their Aadhaar card and mobile phone number associated with Aadhaar number on the mentioned dates. For more information, other farmers of Lai district should also immediately contact the agriculture office of their block to get KYC and land seeding, so that they can be paid the outstanding and upcoming installments.
