Garhshankar, 30 December - The games played by children in ancient times have disappeared nowadays, often children used to play rural rustic games which included hide and seek, shatapu, pinni picchi, bante goli, kali jota, gulli danda, khiddo khundi, kana. Godi, Kotla Chhapaki etc. were popular, playing which children used to entertain themselves and remained healthy, there was no disease. Now children, lost in the world of mobile and internet, have become psychopaths and are becoming victims of fatal diseases. I am going to tell you about the children's game Pithu Garam.
Pithu Garam is a game for small children. Players first form two groups and form a circle in the middle in which the sticks are placed on top of each other. A player from one side stands outside the circle and hits the balls with the ball. If the target is missed then the player on the other side catches the ball, the first side loses, but if the ball hits the target and the ball misses then the turn of the player on that side also ends.
If the ball fails to bounce after hitting the target, players on the other side catch the ball and throw it to the players on the other side. If the ball hits any player then the turn of the players of that side ends.
Now old native games like Hot Pithu Garam have become extinct. There are neither sports nor children's meetings organized in schools for the entertainment of children. Neither is PT parade conducted. The burden of the bags has simply been put on the children. The government needs to make indigenous sports compulsory in schools.
