Hoshiarpur - Under the 'Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme' launched by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa flagged off the bus from Hoshiarpur today for the darshan of Sri Talwandi Sabo and Sri Amritsar Sahib Ji. On the occasion of sending off the bus of pilgrims from Hoshiarpur for the pilgrimage of Sri Talwandi Sabo and Sri Amritsar Sahib Ji, Cabinet Minister Jimpa said that
With the initiation of this scheme, the people of Punjab have got the facility of free travel to visit various pilgrimage places across the country. He said that under this scheme, the Punjab government will bear the expenses of the passengers going on the journey, which includes all the expenses of their travel, stay and food. He said that Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken care of every small to big need of the common people of the state.
The Cabinet Minister said that under this scheme, people are being made to travel to various places of pilgrimage. He said that recently pilgrims from Hoshiarpur have come to see Sri Khatu Shyamji and Sri Salasar Dham. Similarly, according to the plan, buses of pilgrims will continue to depart continuously for darshan of various pilgrimage places. He wished the pilgrims well and said that the 'Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme' is proving to be a boon for the people who are deprived of visiting the major religious places of Punjab and India due to old age and economic hardship. He said that a budget of Rs 40 crore has been kept for this special scheme of the state government during the financial year 2023-24.
On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sandeep Tiwari, Chairman Municipal Corporation Finance Committee Balwinder Bindi, Naib Tehsildar Vijay Kumar, Kulwinder Singh Hundal, Dheeraj Sharma, Varinder Vaid, Chandan Lucky and other dignitaries were present.
