In this regard, during the meeting held at Sector 99 of Wave Estate under the chairmanship of Council President Rajwinder Singh Sarao, various leaders expressed displeasure with the higher officials of GAMADA and said that the issues of the council are being ignored by the bureaucracy. The meeting was attended by representatives of 21 organizations associated with the council.
The spokesperson of the organization said that during the meeting, the speakers protested that the previous meeting of the council was conducted by CA Gamada with IAR Balwinder Singh instead of himself, who gave his reaction after the meeting and said that these demands were made by him. are not within the jurisdiction of and will be given time for the next meeting in consultation with CA Gmada.
He said that even after such a long time, the council is not being given time for a meeting and the bureaucracy is trying to throw the ball in each other's court due to which there is a lot of resentment among the council leaders against the officials.
The leaders said that if their issues continue to be ignored by the bureaucracy, the council will be forced to take strict action against Gamada. Council President Rajwinder Singh said that the amount of EDC received from the private sector builders is very large and with this, GAMADA was supposed to implement the works related to these sectors but this amount is not known by GAMADA instead of spending on these sectors. In which well-account has been put. The leaders said that joint accounts were to be opened with these builders which were not opened.
The council demanded that the construction of the roads connecting these sectors to Mohali should be done without any delay and whatever demands of residence welfare associations associated with different sectors are pending with GAMADA should be settled as soon as possible.
Along with this, it was demanded that the ban on registries due to non-deposit of EDC amount should be immediately removed and the licenses of the builders who have not fulfilled the contracts made by the builders with the Gamads should be cancelled.
The leaders demanded the Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann to look into the work of his own department Gamada/Puda besides going to other departments so that the looting of people in this department can be stopped. They demanded that licenses to private builders for development in new areas should be stopped and Gamada itself should develop new sectors in Mohali area as before. The Chief Minister was requested to immediately order the top official of GAMADA to hold a meeting with the council so that the council could present its case to the concerned officials of GAMADA.
