Patiala, December 22 - District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority Rupinderjit Chahal along with Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Mani Arora, Central Jail, Patiala, New District Jail, Nabha and Open Inspected Air Jail, Nabha. During the visit, District and Sessions Judge Rupinderjit Chahal interacted with the inmates lodged in the jails about their grievances/problems. The Superintendent of Jails, other officers and staff of Jails were directed to ensure timely redressal of their grievances/problems.
  During these visits, CJM Cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala Mani Arora conducted legal awareness programs with the jail inmates of Central Jail, Patiala, New District Jail, Nabha and Open Air Jail, Nabha. During these programs, jail inmates were made aware in detail about plea bargaining, free legal aid and persons entitled to free legal aid. On this occasion, Mani Arora said that Phulkari, sewing and computer training programs are being run for the prisoners in the jail. Apart from this, the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala also organizes meditation/yoga camps and medical camps for the inmates in the jails of Patiala district.
