Doodhansadhan, December 21 - Doodhansadhan SDM Kripalveer Singh held a meeting with principals and owners of schools in his area and issued instructions to ensure safe school vehicle policy. Kripalveer Singh said, the safety of our child is very important for us, so the rules should be followed.
He said that according to the instructions of the High Court, the school vehicle should not be 15 years old and its fitness must be mandatory. He also said that carrying children beyond the seating capacity is also prohibited.
He said that according to the instructions, the driver must have a suitable driving license. He also said that it is mandatory to have a first aid box in the vehicle and a lady attendant to carry the female students. He instructed that along with speed governors, CCTV cameras should also be fitted in school vehicles. Necessary documents of vehicles such as registration certificate, fitness, pollution certificate, insurance, motor vehicle tax, school bus permit etc. and in addition the conditions mentioned in the Safe School Vehicle Scheme under the school authority must be implemented.
  Continuous checking of school buses should be ensured so that the safe vehicle scheme can be fully implemented.
