Garhshankar, December 20 - Darpan Sahitya Sabha, a literary organization of Sela Khurd area, organized an annual literary event today in Government Senior Secondary School Paddi Sura Singh, on which occasion four books were released and the poets present presented their works. On this occasion, General Secretary of Central Punjabi Writers' Association (Sekhon) Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi, Poet Tarsem Saki, Poet Pawan Bhammian, Ghazalgo Resham Chitrakar, Prince Surjit Singh and Prince Kirpal Singh participated in the presidency. On this occasion, the President of the Sabha, Resham Chitrakar, shared the welcome words and expressed his thoughts about the activities of the Sabha. On the occasion of the ceremony, the annual Mr. Gurdayal Punjabi Award given by the Sabha was presented to poet Tarsem Saki. On this occasion, the secretary of the assembly, Prin Sohan Singh Sunni, presented his views on the literary contribution of Mr. Tarsem Saki. On this occasion, novelist Prince Surjit Singh's novel 'Imtihan Jaari Hai' and Prince Sohan Singh Sunni's collection of stories 'Lahindiun Chadya Suraj' were released. Prof. Dr. JB Sekhon and Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi from Khalsa Mahilpur expressed their views on the books released and wished the authors well. On this occasion, the religious book of Prince Surinder Pal Pardesi, 'Wah Pradhyo Mard Agamada' and the book of Santokh Singh Veer, 'Gur Sikhi Di Eh Nisani', were also presented to the people. In the second round of the ceremony, the poets Resham Chitrakar, Prof Varyanvi, Pawan Bhammian, Ranjit Posey, Bahadur Singh Kanwal, Sham Sunder, Amrik Dayal, Santokh Singh Veer, Tara Singh Chera, Avtar Pakhowal, Surjit Pakhowal etc. presented their social awareness poems. Got a lot of appreciation from the audience. The proceedings of the stage were conducted by Mr. Sham Sundar. On this occasion, literature lovers of the area attended in large numbers.
