Nawanshahr - Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-Additional District Electoral Officer Sagar Setia held a meeting to conduct the general elections of Gram Panchayats by the Hon'ble State Election Commission Punjab Chandigarh. In this meeting, discussions were held regarding the issues of Gram Panchayat elections.
According to the program drawn up by the State Election Commission in the meeting, it was decided to complete the preparation of voter lists by 18 December 2023, to ensure the preliminary publication of voter lists by 20 December 2023, to receive claims and objections to these voter lists by 29 December 2023 and their The officials/employees present in the meeting were instructed to complete the settlement on 5th January 2024 and get the final publications of the voter lists done by 7th January 2024. During this work, according to the instructions of the State Election Commission, 10-10 copies of the voter lists should be printed at the specified time and the copies should be posted in the village panchayat ghar / public common place and an announcement should be made.
