Patiala, December 14- 1801 lawyers will exercise their voting rights on December 15 to elect the new team of the Patiala District Bar Association for the year 2024-25. The political activities of both the groups have reached their peak. Polling will start at 9 am and will continue till 5 pm. The results are likely to be declared late at night. As part of their efforts to woo and attract lawyers, both groups (Rakesh Gupta and Manveer Singh Tiwana) have been having a series of parties. Tonight also a party was given by Tiwana Group in a marriage palace located on Sarhand Road. No one is talking openly but both groups are claiming their victory. According to knowledgeable sources, nothing can be said about the rest of the office bearers, but a tough competition is being said between Rakesh Gupta and Manveer Singh Tiwana for the post of chairman. In these elections, votes are to be held for the vice president, secretary, joint secretary, treasurer, library in-charge and ten executive members in addition to the president.
