Balachore - Following the instructions of Dr. Akhil Chowdhury, Chief of Police of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Pojewal Police has succeeded in arresting a liquor smuggler today. Police station chief SI Surinder Singh said that the police party along with ASI Surinder Pal were conducting routine checks by blocking the intersection of village Dayalan. A Mona person was seen coming from the Alowal side of the village carrying a plastic bag on his head. After controlling him and asking his name, he told his name as Paramjit Singh alias Pamma son of Bujha Singh, resident of Dayalan. After searching the plastic bag kept on the head of the said person, 13 bottles of liquor whiskey Chandigarh brand were recovered from it. A case No. 94 A:/Dh: 61-1-14 under the Excise Act was registered against the said person at Pojewal police station. After arresting Paramjit Singh Pamma, further action has been initiated.
