Nawanshahr - In order to ensure administrative efficiency, Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Rajeev Verma made a surprise inspection of Nawanshahr Municipal Council office this morning. The main objective of the inspection was to assess the functioning of the office and the attendance of officers/employees. On registering the attendance, it was found that some officers and employees were absent from the office.
During the inspection, Additional Deputy Commissioner (c) Rajeev Verma noticed that some officers and employees were not present at their assigned work stations. Expressing concern over this neglect, he directed to immediately prepare a report highlighting the absentees and the reasons for their absence.
Further, he instructed that if the reasons given for absence are found to be wrong, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. He said that officials and employees should be held responsible for their actions. If the reasons for non-attendance are not valid, a charge sheet will be filed against the officials/employees concerned. Apart from this, he instructed that the work of common city dwellers should be done on priority basis and special attention should be given to the cleanliness of the city.
