
Prohibition of movement of cattle after sunset in the evening and before sunrise in the morning issued
Patiala, December 8 – Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) within the limits of District Patiala in the evening after sunset and in the morning after sunrise.
Patiala, December 8 – Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) within the limits of District Patiala in the evening after sunset and in the morning after sunrise. Earlier, it has imposed a complete ban on the transportation of cow offspring and ordered the people who are keeping cow offspring to be registered with the Animal Husbandry Department. It has been said in the order that it has become a common sight that many accidents happen on the road at night due to unattended cows. Due to this, there is loss of life and property of common people. Due to the accident, it is sometimes alleged by the people regarding the cow lineage that they have been killed by some mischievous elements, due to which uneasiness spreads in a large section of the society.
The Additional District Magistrate directed the Deputy Director Animal Husbandry, Patiala, to ensure that the people in the cities and villages of the district who have cow pedigree, register them so that in the coming time, they can take the cow pedigree. No untoward incident can take place and measures can be taken to protect the cow breed. These orders will remain in force till February 5, 2024 and legal action will be taken against the person who violates these orders.
