Patiala/Samana, December 6 - Information and Public Relations Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra laid the foundation stone of the new and modern bus stand to be built at Samana. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the residents of Samana city and the surrounding areas by sending about 6.5 crore rupees for this bus stand.
The cabinet minister said that the previous governments had also called for the renovation of this bus stand many times but no one sent any funds but the present government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has released a grant and it will be completed in the next 6 months. The bus stand will be ready.
Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that a new and modern bus stand is being built in about 2.5 acres of land of the old bus stand of Samana and the old structure will also be used here by making maximum use of the minimum space. . He said that apart from water drainage, new shops, parking for buses, scooters and cars etc., solar system and rain water harvesting system will also be installed on the roof.
Information and Public Relations Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra, who also holds the portfolios of Water Resources, Mining and Geology, Water and Land Conservation, Horticulture, Freedom Fighters and Defense Services Welfare, said that Samana's bus stand should be moved out of the city. The land was also looked at but considering the convenience of passengers and the business of the shopkeepers of the city markets, it was decided to build a new bus stand here at the old bus stand itself. On this occasion, Harjinder Singh Mintu Jaudamajra, OSD. Gulzar Singh Virk, Gurdev Singh Tiwana and Balkar Singh Gajjumajra, SDM. Charanjit Singh, City Council Working Officer Barjinder Singh, Madan Mittal, Sunaina Mittal, Youth President Paras Sharma, Gopal Garg, VK Gupta, Darshan Mittal, Sandeep Loomba, Sanju Kakrala and other councilors and dignitaries of the city were also present.
