On this occasion, the delegation consisting of Chairman Sheetal Singh, Finance Secretary Faujaan Singh, Sarabjit Singh Prince, Rajeev Tandon, Harpreet Singh and Akwinder Singh Gosal asked Constituency MLA Kulwant Singh regarding the problems faced by small booth businessmen in the city. The delegation submitted a demand letter and demanded that permission be given to construct the upper floor of the booths.

The delegation brought to the notice of S. Kulwant Singh that the size of the commercial booths in the city is very small and the small businessmen face a lot of difficulties in running the business in such a small size. The delegation said that Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has given permission to build the first floor of booths in Panchkula. The fee of which has been set at around 3 lakh 90 thousand rupees per booth and there many booth booth owners have built the first floor. The delegation demanded that in Mohali also like in Panchkula the booth owners should be allowed to build the upper first floor between their booths.

On this occasion, Sheetal Singh, Chairman of the Board of Trade, told the Constituency MLA that if the government gives this permission, about 130 crores will be paid to Gamada from about 2980 booths built in Phase-1 to 11 and Sector 67 to Sector 71 of Mohali. An additional income of Rs. Apart from this, Gamada will get a benefit of around Rs 32 crore as a fee for getting the map passed. He said that if Gumada is allowed to complete the first floor, then the booth owners will get great relief in doing their business and they will be able to run their business in a better way.

On this occasion, Constituency MLA S. Kulwant Singh assured the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce that their issue will be resolved soon. On that occasion, the official of the concerned department has been asked to write a letter and take appropriate action to resolve this issue permanently.
