
Organized a religious ceremony dedicated to the birth anniversary of the first Patsahhi Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji
New Delhi / Garhshankar, November 29 - A religious ceremony dedicated to the 554th birth anniversary of the first Guru Nanak Dev ji was held at the residence of Sardar Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Minority Commission and member of the BJP Central Parliamentary Board and Election Committee, in New Delhi.
New Delhi / Garhshankar, November 29 - A religious ceremony dedicated to the 554th birth anniversary of the first Guru Nanak Dev ji was held at the residence of Sardar Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Minority Commission and member of the BJP Central Parliamentary Board and Election Committee, in New Delhi.
The event started with the recitation of Rahrasu Sahib,
After which, Bhai Kuldeep Singh Khalsa and Bhai Gurdev Singh from Australia, the present Ragi of Sri Darbar Sahib, connected the Sangat with the Shabad Guru by performing Rasabhinna Kirtan Sarvan.
During the event BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh, India's Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs John Barla, Member of Parliament Gautam Gambhir along with Delhi State Haj Committee Chairman Kausar Jahan, India Apart from Sirajuddin Qureshi from the Islamic Culture Centre, leaders associated with Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity and other prominent political, social and religious personalities participated.
Leaders of all religions participated in this event and discussions were held to increase mutual harmony and brotherhood. The guests were welcomed by Chairman Lalpura's son and BJP District Rupnagar President Ajayvir Singh Lalpura.
On this occasion, Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura said that we all are celebrating the 554th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his good deeds for the Sikh community and prayed for his good health, long life and success. Sardar Lalpura said that thoughts on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are very relevant in spreading peace, brotherhood and harmony across the world in today's time.
He said that while Guru Nanak Dev ji gave the message of Naam chanting, labor and distribution, he also gave the world the opportunity to respect women without any discrimination. Lalpura said that he gave the form of langar to the ideology of equality, where the entire congregation, regardless of caste, religion, sits in the same row and chants langar.
He said that if we apply their messages, teachings in our daily life, adapt our lifestyle and thoughts according to them, then surely we will be able to find a new world of peace and the path of development will become very simple.
On this occasion, Ajayveer Singh Lalpura congratulated the devotees on the birth anniversary of Jagat Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said that Guru Sahib encouraged the pen, scholarship, thought and thinker in the society to connect with the necessary concerns of his time and to play a meaningful role in those situations. If we look closely at the contemporary situation, it is very easy to feel that the principles and concepts based on which Guru Nanak Dev ji laid the foundation of the Sikh intellectual tradition, those principles or concepts are very logical and relevant for the solution of our current problems.
On this occasion, apart from political personalities, a large number of people including national leaders of BJP, senior officials of the Government of India, senior IAS, IPS, famous lawyers, Punjab film industry, literature etc. were present.
