Addressing a press conference at Patiala Media Club here today, Harmesh Singh said that he has been living in Greece for the last 23 years. He had 6 kilas of land out of which he had given 4 kilas of land to his nephew, who had not taken any money and the village land is being forcibly plowed by his brother and his daughter and son-in-law along with him in police station Bhunarhedi on 21 November. Beat up. And he was admitted to Rajindra Hospital from where he was discharged yesterday.
Answering the questions, Harmesh Singh told that his wife was a mental patient from whom he had been divorced by the Panchayat and he had only one daughter who was brought up by her brother i.e. the girl's uncle and later he married her. .
He alleged that the police have registered a case in the matter but are not arresting the accused.

In this matter, when Harmesh Singh's elder brother Harnek Singh was contacted, he told that Harmesh Singh is a very deceitful person. His wife Harjinder Kaur has been living with him in village Salempur Jat for the last 27 years and has raised the girl. He told that Harmesh has sold 4 kilas of land and the person whom he is calling nephew is not from our community, then how did he become nephew. He said that the entire village is aware of the reality of this person. His wife is here in India and he is also married abroad. He said that this person also threw bricks at him in the village and slapped his daughter's face in Bhunarhedi and abused his son-in-law following which a fight broke out.

In this matter, Harmesh Singh's wife Harjinder Kaur said that there has been no divorce. When he came back two months ago, he wanted to sell 2 kilas of land, but local MLA Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra had redeemed that land in favor of his wife, but today he did not register it in her name. He said that he is saying that he will sell the land. He said that his daughter's education has also been done by his brother-in-law Namdar Harnek Singh and he has also borne all the expenses. The expenses must have been divided during the wedding.
Daughter Rubalpreet Kaur said that there was a fight in Bhunarhedi when he first slapped me, then he and 5-6 people who came with him threw me on the ground and one person also pointed a weapon at him.

Action will be taken as per law: Outpost in-charge
In this matter, when we contacted Bhunarheri outpost in-charge Daljeet Singh, he told that we have registered a case on the basis of the statements of Harmesh Singh. He said that according to the order of the Supreme Court, in cases involving punishment of less than 7 years, notice has to be first sent to the other party and their side has to be taken. He said that we have sent a notice and will take action as per the law. He also told that Harmesh's brother Harnek Singh and other villagers came to the post and informed that he had filed the wrong form. The police will take further action only after complete investigation of the case.
