On this occasion, professor and head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine Dr. Thanking the guest, Vishal Chopra gave information about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and said that it causes a person to have difficulty in taking air into his lungs and exhaling air because the passage of air is obstructed. Swelling occurs or they close. He said that usually we consider only those who smoke cigarettes and beedi to suffer from it, but they come into active smoking, apart from passive smoking, which includes smoke from stoves, fires set on stubble in fields and by industries. This disease also spreads with the smoke released.
Dr. Vishal Chopra said that people who smoke cigarettes, beedi and tobacco get this problem and they want to leave this symptom but due to lack of counseling they are facing problem, so now at TB Hospital. A 'Quit Smoking Clinic' has been started where patients will be counseled as well as given medication if required.
On this occasion, World COPD A painting competition of school students was organized dedicated to the day, in which the students of Government Senior Secondary School Baran and Government Senior Secondary School Nandpur Keson and Alowal participated and were specially honored during the event.
