Recently, a public interest petition was filed in the Supreme Court with the aim of bringing uniformity in the field of education in the country, according to which, 'One Nation-One Education, One Nation-One Syllabus and One Nation-One Curriculum' in the entire country. Students across the country should study the same curriculum in their own mother tongue. Syllabus and curriculum of all subjects should be same. The reasoning behind this is that all the competitive exams are conducted across the country, they are conducted through the same question paper. The same paper is taken at the country level for admission and recruitment in engineering, medical, NDA, civil services, banks and railways in the country. While in the country CBSE, PSEB etc. innumerable education boards are imparting education according to their respective prescribed curricula. Thus, when the question papers of the competitive examinations are set according to the syllabus of one board, then the students getting education through other boards have to prepare separately for that examination. Therefore, it has been demanded in the court that it should issue an order to the central government to prepare the same syllabus and curriculum for the students across the country through NCERT, not only the syllabus but also the books of all the subjects of the mother of the states. If the price of a book prepared by NCERT is one hundred rupees, then the same book is available in the market for five hundred to one thousand rupees. Which points to the direct exploitation of the parents. Presently the syllabus of Central Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas of the country are same all over the country. Not only this, the uniform education system is applicable in developed countries like France, America, England, Japan, Russia and Singapore. If we can spend crores of rupees from the government exchequer to send our school heads for training in the Singapore education model, why can't we implement such a uniform education pattern? In our country, no matter how talented a child is, he has to take separate coaching to prepare for competitive exams, for which the parents have a separate burden of coaching expenses apart from schooling. The mental pressure a student goes through is different. This leads to very bad results, an example of which is the large number of suicides committed by such students at coaching hub Kota. With the implementation of uniform education, uniform syllabus and curriculum in the country, hardworking children will not have to turn to such coaching centers. They will be able to prepare for these competitive exams by studying the same syllabus at home. But the coaching mafia operating in the country has become a major obstacle in implementing a uniform education and a uniform syllabus, whose annual business is said to be around five lakh crore rupees. What is taught to the students through different education boards is not completely at par with the syllabus of competitive exams. Students are forced to take refuge in coaching centers. So these coaching centers have hijacked our education system in a way. Another book publisher mafia also never wants uniform education and uniform syllabus to be implemented in the country. If the syllabus and curriculum remain the same for two-four years, then the book publisher mafia will suffer. The sales graph of their books will decrease. If such a system is implemented, their business worth crores and billions will be hurt. Therefore, only for their profiteering, such mafias are blocking the implementation of uniform education and uniform syllabus in the country. Equal education means employer and worker, minister and sentry, teacher and education minister, clerk and commissioner, children of rich and poor will be able to get the same education through the medium of the same language. Linguistic, caste, religious discrimination will be curbed to a large extent in the country. Religion-caste gaps will decrease. Children of all classes will have equal opportunities to advance. The whole country will be aware of the diversity of their country. Unity in diversity can be properly nurtured. Equal education in the true sense - equal syllabus only can bring true socialism in the country. Will future generations know who were the real pillars of the world's largest democracy? People will have the opportunity to connect with their rich heritage and roots of native culture.
