Chandigarh, November 9 - A meeting was held with Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Principal Secretary, Finance Department under the leadership of Giant Action Committee by the leaders of all the employee organizations of Punjab Civil Secretariat. The leaders of the employees demanded from the government that on the occasion of Diwali, DA should be made for the employees. It should be released soon and Diwali bonus should also be given like Chandigarh administration.
On this occasion, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema discussed the rightful demands of the employees in the presence of Principal Secretary Finance and assured to convey them to the Chief Minister. The Finance Minister asked the employee leaders to convey the message of saving underground water, organic farming and eating organic food to the people.
During the meeting, Paramdeep Bhabat, Bhupinder Jhaj, Kamal Sharma from the Officers Association, Malkit Aujla from the Personal Staff Association, Sukhchain Khaira, Jaspreet Randhawa, Inderpal Bhangu, Sahil Sharma, FCR from the Secretariat Staff Association. Kulwant Singh, Gurmeet Singh from Association and Jagtar Singh etc. from Rank-4 Union were present.
