S.A.S Nagar, November 6 - Harkesh Chand Sharma, Director of Co-operative Bank District Mohali, Machhali Kalan has demanded that fogging should be done in the villages immediately by the district administration and health department to control the outbreak of dengue in the district. .

In a statement issued here, Mr Sharma said that dengue patients are being found in almost every village of the district and many people have lost their lives due to this disease. He said that there is a lot of filth in many villages because mosquitoes are breeding in water tanks and there are huge piles of garbage on the streets which are causing dengue and other diseases.

He said that despite all this, fogging has not been done in the villages by the administration or the health department, nor have any medical check-up camps or dengue related awareness camps been organized in the villages. He said that due to lack of awareness, people of villages often do not recognize the symptoms of dengue in time and reach the hospital for treatment only when the disease completely engulfs the patient. He has demanded that the administration should immediately pay attention to the solution of this serious issue.
