Accordingly, cooperative societies are working on a war footing to provide machinery and technical information to the farmers for sowing wheat.
Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that farmers with less than two and a half acres of land in the district are sowing wheat through one acre demonstration plot in the presence of officials from the departments related to the machinery of the cooperative societies and the technical information of the Agriculture Department. is He said that a target of planting wheat in about 252 acres through demonstration plots has been set in the district, under which demonstration plots are being planted in each block daily.
Sarbeshwar Singh Mohi, deputy registrar of cooperative societies, said that in the district wheat is being sown in one acre in the demonstration plot through Happy Seeder, Surface Seeder and Smart Seeder. While the machinery of the cooperative societies is doing sowing work in an area of 1100 acres daily and the machinery is being used with full capacity by the societies.
Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Gurnam Singh said that while farmers are being made aware by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, technical information is also being given at the time of wheat sowing. He said that farmers can contact the agriculture officer of their area to solve any problem related to agriculture.
