SAS Nagar, November 3 - The municipal corporation makes big claims of cleanliness in city parks, but the ground conditions raise question marks on the claims of the municipal corporation.

Park No. 8 located in HE Quarters of Local Phase 1 has a very bad state of cleanliness due to which it is very difficult for local residents to sit and walk in these parks. Garbage is piled up in the park, which causes a heavy stench. Along with this, there is also a risk of spreading diseases due to mosquitoes gathered near the garbage heap.

Social worker leader Khushwant Singh Ruby said that the condition of pollution in Park No. 8 is so bad that people avoid even going inside the park. Garbage is piled up inside this park and stray dogs roam everywhere. He said that this park is under the municipal corporation but despite this the condition of parks is bad. They have demanded from the administration that the park should be cleaned as soon as possible and strict action should be taken against the people who throw dirt here.

On being contacted in this regard, Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur, councilor of ward number 50, said that the municipal corporation cleans the park from time to time, but this problem arises due to the residents throwing garbage here and the residents should also cooperate in cleaning the park.
