Against the pressure being put on the board management regarding internal accounts, a symbolic protest meeting was held today at the board office from 9 to 11 am.

Addressing the gathering, the president of the organization, Parvinder Singh Khangura, said that the organization had warned the government by holding a regular press conference during the month of August that as long as the outstanding amount of 120 crores of fifth and eighth class examination fees and the year 2024-25  for Until the advance amount of the textbooks to be printed is not released, the examination portal will not be opened, nor will any process of tender etc. regarding the printing of textbooks be started.
The general secretary of the organization Sukhchain Singh Saini said that instead of releasing money to the board office, the government is putting pressure on the board management to open the portal. He said that for a long time, demand letters are being given to the government's finance minister, education minister and welfare department ministers regarding the release of padding money to the board office. In the past, a letter has also been issued to the board office regarding the release of an amount of Rs. 65 crores, but this amount has not yet been received by the board office.
Addressing the gathering, the organization's Vice President-1 Seema Sood, Vice President-2 Prabhadeep Singh Boparai, Secretary Sunil Kumar Arora and Joint Board Gurikbal Singh Sodhi said that the office is conducting the fifth and eighth class examination from the year 2020. Every year approximately 25-30 crore rupees are spent by the board office on conducting examinations for these classes. But S. C. E. R. Only Rs 3 crore is released by the T office to the board office for this purpose due to which the department is facing a padding of Rs 120 crore. Apart from this, an amount of Rs. 400 crores of textbooks supplied by the board office under various schemes is also pending with the government. The financial condition of the board has collapsed to such an extent that even the financial benefits of the colleagues who are retiring to the board office are not being released on time. A lot of financial difficulties are being faced in timely release of salary and pension every month.
The leaders said that if the board management started the process of opening the portal under the pressure of the government, then it will be strongly opposed. He said that if the government does not release 50-60 percent advance amount for the padding amount of examination fees and textbook printing for the year 2024-25 to the board office, then the next outline will be drawn with the support of all the employees.
On this occasion, Senior Vice President of the organization Baljinder Singh Brar, Junior Vice President Malkit Singh Gaggarh, Finance Secretary Raj Kumar Bhagat, Office Secretary Hardeep Singh Gill, Organization Secretary Jasvir Singh Chotian, Press Secretary Jaspreet Singh Gill and among the members Jaspal Singh Tehna, Manjinder Singh Hulka, Baljinder Singh Mangat Gaurav Sampla, Lachhmin Devi Manjit Singh Lehragaga and Surinder Singh were also present.
