Final publication of photo voter lists will be on January 5, 2024 - Raghav Sharma

Una, October 27 - As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, special revision of the photo voter lists used in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections of all the five assembly constituencies of Una district is being done on the basis of the qualifying date of January 1, 2024.

Una, October 27 - As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, special revision of the photo voter lists used in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections of all the five assembly constituencies of Una district is being done on the basis of the qualifying date of January 1, 2024. Giving information in this regard, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma said that draft voter lists with photographs have been published at every polling station of Una district and in the offices of the respective Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers. He said that these photo voter lists will be available for inspection free of cost in all the concerned offices till December 9. Apart from this, a special campaign will be run on 4, 5, 18 and 19 November.
Raghav Sharma said that during this period, all eligible citizens whose age is going to be 18 years or more on January 1, 2024, can get their names registered in the voter list. Apart from this, for rectification of any entry in the voter list, removal of names of ineligible/dead persons from the voter list or transfer of names from one polling center to another polling center in the constituency, claims/claims can be made by filling the appropriate format Form 6, 6A, 7 and 8. Objections can be presented before the concerned designated officers/booth level officers. The concerned Electoral Registration Officer will ensure that all received claims and objections are settled by December 26, 2023, and the final publication of the photo voter lists will be made on January 5, 2024.
He said that to get the name registered in the voter list with photo, one can also contact the toll free telephone service number 1950 of the call center of the department. He said that one can confirm the enrollment of one's name in the voter lists with photos on the departmental website. Apart from this, the facility of e-registration is also available on Voter Helpline Mobile App VHA and National Voter Service Portal (NVSP) in which online forms (related to name registration, deletion and amendment) can be filled through internet.
Raghav Sharma has called upon all the citizens of the district, local political parties, non-government voluntary organizations, Mahila Mandals, Youth Clubs to inspect the voter lists with photographs published in the format on October 27, 2023 and register the names of eligible persons. And extend your full cooperation in getting the names of ineligible persons removed from the voter list.
