Garhshankar 9th October- Efforts are being made by the government to save drinking water, but many people do not follow the government's orders. Such an example is found in the village of Jhonowal (Gadimansowal) of Garhshankar, where drinking water is being used for agriculture. Naveen Sharma Vishal Kumar, Ladi Pandit, Jasveer, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Pradeep Kumar, Honey Pandit, Happy, Shiv Kumar, Rajjat Kumar, Nikhil Sharma, Pandit Dina Dayal, Balwinder Singh Balli of village Garimansowal while talking to reporters said that of Garimansowal Drinking water is not reaching a large number of households, but many households of village Jhonowal are misusing the drinking water. He said that many householders in the village have made connections without permission, who are supplying drinking water to the fields from these connections, while these illegal connections were brought to the notice of the concerned department, and the department took action to disconnect the connections.  But now those people have started the same connections again from which thousands of liters of drinking water are being applied to the fields. Residents of Garimansowal village said that on one side people are dying of thirst due to drinking water but on the other hand the water is being used for farming. The villagers have demanded from the administration and the concerned department to stop the illegal connections and take appropriate action against them. On talking to tube well operator Sher Singh this time, he told that a large number of people have installed illegal connections, which I brought to the attention of the officials of the department and the connections were cut by the department, but those people installed the connections again
