The distressed youth committed suicide due to being asked for 20 thousand by the police, the video made before hanging, strict action has been taken against the policemen who asked for money.

SAS Nagar, September 30 An 18-year-old youth from Chhajjumajra Colony of Kharar, Tegbahadar Singh, was allegedly threatened by two police officers of Nekharar police station to demand 20 thousand rupees and implicate him in a false case if he did not pay the money. Being upset, he committed suicide by hanging himself with a fan. The victim also wrote the names of the two policemen in his suicide note before hanging himself.

Talking to the media here today, the deceased's father Sharanjit Singh said that his son Teg Bahadur had taken a friend's motorcycle to Kharar where ASI Surjit Singh and Constable Husanpreet Singh posted at Kharar City Police Station had taken him to Kharar. The police stopped his motorcycle for investigation and checked the documents, but the RC of a different number was kept in the friend's motorcycle.
They said that Teg Bahadur told the police personnel that he had taken his friend's motorcycle for a ride. After that his friend's father came and showed the original papers but after that he was taken to the police station and tortured and 20 thousand rupees were demanded from him. Police personnel said that if the money is not paid, he will be implicated in a false case. He said that his son, upset by repeated harassment by the police, committed suicide by hanging himself with a fan in his room.
The deceased also made a video before committing suicide and held the said police officers responsible for it and demanded that they be given severe punishment so that no police officer harasses another poor person. He also wrote a suicide note in which he said that he earns five to six thousand rupees every month and it is difficult to pay 20 thousand rupees to the police. They are repeatedly threatening to implicate me in a false case. Due to which he is committing suicide.
The father of the deceased, Sarabjit Singh, said that the video was found from Tegh Bahadur's mobile phone. In which he is clearly accusing both the policemen. He said that he will not perform his son's last rites until his son's culprits are arrested.
In this regard, Kharar SHO Mandeep Singh said that action has been started by filing a complaint against these two policemen.
