On this occasion, Director of Suchetak Rangmanch, Anita Shabdish said that this gallery was prepared in 2010 on the occasion of 'Gursharan Singh Nat Utsav' and after his eternal departure, it was installed in Sarang Lok Mohali in 2012. Then, on expressing the wishes of the family, it was installed in Gursharan Singh's house in 2019 and now its place has been changed to Mohali. He said that his desire is to expand it more, for which efforts are on.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh said that Gursharan Singh is alive in people's hearts because of his desire for pro-people change. All the colleagues associated with his work are playing a role due to their own activism, but the efforts of Suchet Rangmanch are worthy of mention. He said that apart from their plays, this team has been celebrating Gursharan Singh Nat Utsav for the last 20 years, has made a documentary film to bring his contribution to the common people and has also set up this gallery.
Dr. Labh Singh Khiva said that efforts to keep alive the contributions of literary and cultural figures get little attention these days, but this kind of role goes a long way.
Sukhdev Singh Patwari, recalling the days of emergency, said that there was only one voice left to speak out at that time, which could speak against the strangulation of democracy and the same bold voice of Gursharan Singh has been echoing against terrorists and police oppression.
