Imphal, September 12 The months-long violence in Manipur shows no sign of abating. Militants belonging to banned terrorist groups shot dead three tribals of the Kuki community in Kangpopki district this morning.

The assailants came in a vehicle and attacked the villagers between Ireng and Karam areas in the border areas of Imphal West and Kangpopki districts, officials said. He said that this village is located in the mountains and there is a majority of tribal people. "We don't have much information right now," the official said. We can only say that the incident happened around 8.20am when unknown persons shot and killed three people in an area between Ireng and Karam Waifei.
