Samana, August 25 (Harjinder Singh) The festival of Teej was celebrated today with great pomp and fanfare at Public College Samana. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Anuprita Johal joined as the chief guest. Neha Aggarwal, Deputy Superintendent of Police Samana was the special guest. Secretary: Inderjit Singh Waraich, member of management and principal Dr. Jitinder Dev welcomed the guests. The college campus was decorated with 'Chhattris', 'Pathias', 'Fulkariyas', 'Kites' etc. to give the feel of a typical Punjabi village. Various competitions like 'Pingh Jhutana', 'Mehndi', 'Rassi Tapna', 'Middy Gandhana' were conducted. Cultural activities like 'Giddha' were done. The Chief Guest encouraged the students to work hard and achieve their goals. Students got first, second and third position in respective competitions. The chief guest distributed the prizes to the winners. The fair ended with a bang.
