Una, September 17 - Asuj Navratri fair will be organized from 3 to 12 October at Chhinnamastika Dham Temple Mata Shri Chintapurni Ji. Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal held an important meeting with the officials on Tuesday for the successful conduct of this fair. He discussed in detail the preparations and arrangements for the fair and gave necessary guidelines to all the concerned officials.

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal held an important meeting with the officials on Tuesday for the successful conduct of this fair. He discussed in detail the preparations and arrangements for the fair and gave necessary guidelines to all the concerned officials.
The Deputy Commissioner said that for the smooth conduct of the fair, SDM Amb has been appointed as the Mela Adhikari and DSP Amb as the Police Mela Adhikari. For medical facilities, SMO will be stationed as the medical officer at the fair. The Mela area will be divided into four sectors, and security personnel of police and home guards will be deployed in each sector to maintain peace and order.
Special attention to hygiene and convenience
The Deputy Commissioner said that one supervisor will be appointed in each sector to ensure cleanliness in the fair area. He directed the Jal Shakti Department to clean the drinking water tanks and set up drinking water stalls at suitable places to ensure the availability of clean drinking water in the fair area. He asked the Electricity Department to maintain smooth power supply during the fair and the Fire Department to inspect the fire fighting vehicles to maintain their proper condition.
Special task force will keep a strict eye on begging
The Deputy Commissioner said that during the fair, a special task force will be formed to keep a strict watch on begging. If anyone is caught making children beg, strict action will be taken against him. Apart from this, he said that during the fair period, social emergency response volunteers trained by the District Disaster Management Authority will also work shoulder to shoulder with the security personnel.
Permission is mandatory for anchorage
The Deputy Commissioner said that devotees will get slips of Sugam Darshan System from Mai Das Sadan for the darshan of Mandir Mata. Apart from this, there will be slip facility for Divyangjans as well. Apart from this, devotees will be able to get general darshan slips from Shambhu Barrier and MRC (Chintpurni Bus Station). It will be mandatory to get permission from SDM Amb for organizing langar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, ASP Sanjeev Bhatia, SDM Amb Sachin Sharma, DSP Vasudha Sood, Temple Officer Ajay Singh and officers of other concerned departments and panchayat representatives were present in the meeting.
