More than 800 police personnel conducted this search operation under the supervision of SP. Drugs were recovered and FIRs were registered in different police stations. Under this operation, two cases have been registered in Lahori Gate Patiala Police Station, City Samana Police Station, Julkan Police Station, Bhadson Police Station, Kotwali Nabha Police Station and Ghagga Police Station. During the search operation, one kilo of ganja, ten grams of powder, nine bottles of illicit liquor, 250 banned pills and ten grams of heroin were recovered.
SSP Patiala Varun Sharma said that an attempt has been made to break the drug chain by conducting a search operation in Patiala district. The police team targeted the places where people are mostly found selling drugs and taking drugs. He said that this campaign to control drug addiction will continue in the future. Some people have also been arrested after the rampage. After interrogating those caught, their entire supply chain will be caught.
