Rs 15.40 crore approved for building houses for 1027 poor families in Kutlahar - Vivek Sharma

Una, September 16 - An amount of Rs 15.40 crore has been sanctioned for 1027 poor families of Kutlehar assembly constituency to fulfill their dream of building their own house. MLA Vivek Sharma handed over acceptance letters under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana to the eligible families in a program organized at Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra Auditorium in Samurkalan on Monday. Under this, each family will be provided financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh to build a permanent house.

MLA Vivek Sharma handed over acceptance letters under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana to the eligible families in a program organized at Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra Auditorium in Samurkalan on Monday. Under this, each family will be provided financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh to build a permanent house.
In his address on this occasion, MLA Vivek Sharma said that he is fully committed to make Kutlehar Assembly constituency a model of development under the strong guidance of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. He said that in the first 100 days after becoming an MLA, extensive and concrete efforts have been made to give a new direction and momentum to the development of the area, whose positive results are now clearly visible. Along with this, the work of providing the benefits of public welfare schemes of the state and central government to all eligible persons is also being done successfully, which has further accelerated the path of development.
He informed that concrete steps have been taken towards developing a small industrial area in Momanyar of Kutlahar. About 300 kanal land has been identified for this project, and its detailed project report will be prepared and sent to the government for approval. Vivek Sharma said that the development of this industrial area will establish new dimensions of progress and employment in the region, which will benefit our youth on a large scale and will give a new form to the prosperity of the region.
Vivek Sharma also informed that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has laid the foundation stone of Urja Power Project at Aghlor at a cost of Rs 17 crore during his Kutlahar visit. Along with this, approval has been received for two more power projects, and he will soon request the Chief Minister to lay the foundation stone of these projects. The MLA said that work is being done on the ground to strengthen facilities like roads, education and health in Kutlahar assembly constituency.
12.50 crore for tourism development
He said that decisive steps have been taken towards developing Andrauli as an attractive destination for tourists. A provision of Rs 12.50 crore has been made for tourism development there. This amount will be spent on the development of various water recreational facilities like jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, and yachts .
Carnival from 25 to 31 December in Andrauli
Vivek Sharma said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had given instructions to organize a carnival in Andrauli during his visit to Kutlehar. Preparations are being made as per his instructions. This year, for the first time, a grand carnival will be organized in Andrauli. This carnival will run from 25 to 31 December and recreational activities like water sports, cultural programs, local street food stalls, and candle camping will be organized in it.
The various activities organised in the carnival will not only give a new dimension to the local culture and tourism but will also provide new employment opportunities to the local youth.
Tribute to late Pandit Ramnath Sharma
Before the program, MLA Vivek Sharma paid emotional tribute to his father and former MLA of Kutlehar, Deputy Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, late Pandit Ramnath Sharma on his death anniversary. A large number of dignitaries were present on this occasion, who remembered the contribution of late Pandit Ramnath Sharma and pledged to follow his ideals.
