Kolkata, September 11- A case has been registered against a person from West Bengal for spreading fake news on social media to defame Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. West Bengal Police told 'X' that fake news was circulated on social media to defame the Hon'ble Chief Justice and attack the respect of the Supreme Court with the intention of creating mistrust and disturbing public peace. In view of which, a case has been registered against Sujit Haldar of Phulwari in the Krishnaganj police station and the matter is being investigated. West Bengal Police has also asked people not to share the fake news further.
